This was a fun and inspiring wedding for us. Loan has been my little sister’s {Heather} best friend since Jr. high. She came to me with very specific ideas and a clear vision of what she wanted: budding branches such as dogwood branches and viburnum. Since both were not in season, we mimic those elements by hand wiring blossoms of cymbidiums and hydrangeas to each branch to form a blossoming budding tree for her centerpieces. Her canopy was constructed out of curly willows, honey suckle and masses of cymbidium orchids and white hydrangeas. The florals were abundant but still embraces a whimsical effect.
The vintage mercury goblets filled with floating candles set the perfect romantic tone for the Coronet room at the Hotel Del Coronado. Loan special touches made her wedding glamourous. She put a lot of effort into creating her own menus for each guest. They were beautifully displayed around the mercury bowls and blooms of fragrant gardenias. Each guest were presented with a beautiful candle at each seating.
This wedding had many beautiful details. Loan and the bridal parties wore gorgeous traditional vietnamese dresses while the gentlemen were bespoke in their military uniform. Aileen did a wonderful job with the bridesmaids hand held bouquets. They were wrapped in brown sequin trimmings and consisted of lady slippers and cymbidium orchids. The bride carried a classic gardenia bouquet. Congratulations Eric and Loan, I wish you both the best. Loan, I hope the wedding is everything you had hope for. I was my pleasure to be a part of it.
Big thanks to Emily Smiley, wedding planner for helping with the coordination and Darin Fong for these gorgeous photos.
